Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with a team to design and optimize transportation routes across our UK locations using our proprietary planning software.
  • Manage customer orders, focusing on load efficiency, pallet counts, and creating effective plans that minimize empty runs while maximizing profitability and adhering to KPI targets.
  • Maintain the Warehouse Loading Diary with accurate load information.
  • Coordinate with stores to ensure a manageable scheduling process.
  • Work closely with customer service to meet client requirements.
  • Select and propose subcontracting options to the Subcontracting team.
  • Schedule and plan subcontractor engagements while negotiating rates.
  • Ensure compliance with Working Time Directive regulations and transport laws.
  • Analyze vehicle performance and revenue, providing insights to management.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Experience in a transport or traffic management role.
  • Strong geographical awareness.
  • Excellent administrative capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of driver regulations, Tachograph, and WTD compliance.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • An understanding of warehouse operations and their interaction with transport logistics.
  • Commercial acumen.
