Your Team
The Solutions Team at Oxa is a dynamic and expanding group responsible for the entire customer lifecycle. This team is dedicated to utilizing Oxa's exceptional expertise to deliver practical, commercially viable autonomous solutions that provide real value to our clients. The team is composed of both technical and commercial problem solvers with experience in deploying robotic systems and addressing autonomy challenges. Team members have the opportunity to engage in various roles, from coding to collaborating with clients to identify optimal solutions.
Your Role
As an Operations Solutions Engineer, you will oversee the management and development of an autonomous shuttle service in active deployment. This role is fast-paced and multifaceted, offering exposure to all components of our architecture and requiring a blend of engineering expertise and organizational acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement shuttle service schedules and operations.
- Collaborate with clients to define development requirements.
- Conduct technical gap analyses and generate new feature requests as needed.
- Develop safety cases, including route analyses, risk assessments, and operational procedures.
- Perform vehicle acceptance testing and initial setup.
- Commission, calibrate, deploy, and verify computing, software, sensing, and networking systems.
- Build, upgrade, and maintain autonomous vehicle maps.
- Monitor, debug, tune, and analyze autonomous vehicles in the field.
- Provide ongoing customer support for the shuttle service.
Accountabilities
- Generate technical roadmaps and ensure the end-to-end delivery of autonomy solutions to clients.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer use cases and requirements, designing and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure timely and efficient solution delivery by participating in regular alignment meetings and addressing any risks or performance issues that may affect deployment.
- Collaborate and share knowledge with the broader Oxa team, enhancing understanding of various autonomy components and tools to deploy, debug, and tune solutions effectively.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience in the delivery and operation of robotic systems in commercial or industrial environments.
- Ability to work at the intersection of software and hardware, including deployment, configuration, debugging, and evaluation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Capability to translate customer concepts and requirements into technical solutions.
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in launching robotics or autonomous products.
- Familiarity with project management tools to ensure timely delivery.
- Knowledge of or experience with robotics, including localization, mapping, planning, perception, and machine learning.
- Proficiency in development languages such as C++ or Python, and familiarity with Linux and networking.
- Experience in systems integration and platform hardware configuration.
