Role Overview

As a Lead Care Support Specialist at Methodist Homes, you will guide and motivate a dedicated team of care assistants to deliver exceptional care to our residents, helping them to enjoy their later years to the fullest. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with personal care requirements and facilitating their participation in various activities that promote their health and wellbeing. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering medications and maintaining accurate and comprehensive records. Each day will present new challenges, allowing you to utilize your leadership and interpersonal skills to create a meaningful impact.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Lead Care Support Specialist who is genuinely passionate about caring for the elderly, possesses prior care experience, and holds at least an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care, with a willingness to pursue level 3. You should have a proven track record in leading, coaching, and inspiring a team to provide high-quality care.

Strong patience, communication, and listening skills are essential. You should excel in maintaining accurate records, managing time effectively, and prioritizing tasks.
