Job Summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking an experienced Safety and Ergonomics Specialist to join our team. As a leading automotive manufacturer, we require a skilled professional to assist with the implementation and development of good health, safety, and welfare standards for our workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement planned health and safety strategies and provide competent health and safety advice to internal customers.
  • Interpret workplace activities in relation to the need for compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Deliver specified health and safety strategies and targets through management and maintain site safety plans.
  • Conduct annual internal health and safety audit programs and ensure working practices are effective.
  • Arrange and deliver agreed health and safety training and maintain 45001 standards.
  • Ensure safety delivery matches the requirements of the agreed business Service Level Agreements and meets any set Key Performance Indicators.
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections and ensure results are acted upon.
  • Advise all levels throughout the business on the implementation and control of health and safety arrangements to mitigate risk of injury and ill health within the workplace.
  • Consult, advise, and educate management on the risks associated with event management and the need to implement processes to minimize risks to the business.
  • Maintain local documentation across the business for evidence of health and safety and support health and safety projects as required.

Requirements

  • General Certificate in Health and Safety Management or equivalent (NEBOSH Diploma preferred).
  • OHSAS 45001 Lead Internal Auditor certification.
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., IOSH).
  • 2+ years of experience in safety management.
  • Maintain a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program.
  • Implementation and maintenance of safety management systems.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a valid full driving license.
