Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team at Schneider-Electric's Oxford manufacturing facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements, including state, federal, and Schneider-Electric regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective EHS programs, policies, and procedures to mitigate compliance issues and improve overall EHS performance.
  • Provide training and support to employees to ensure they understand and comply with EHS regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards and non-compliances.
  • Work with the union to develop and implement joint EHS initiatives and programs, such as training and safety committees.
  • Provide technical EHS support to management and the safety committee, and lead the site safety committee.
Requirements
  • At least six years' experience in an EHS position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in electrical safety, machine guarding, training, and ergonomics is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing EHS programs and improving compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to travel to other Schneider-Electric facilities and attend training sessions as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
