## Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Hearing Impaired Support

## Job Type: Temporary

## Location: Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire

## Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments in a good-rated school in the Little Marlow area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with special educational needs and a commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment.

### Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with teachers to create and deliver activities tailored to the needs of students with hearing impairments
* Develop and implement individualized education plans, risk assessments, and therapy care programs
* Work with teachers, support staff, families, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support
* Establish therapeutic relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs

### Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children with hearing impairments or a willingness to learn
* Good knowledge of SEN and a passion for developing skills
* Ability to commit to working fixed days, full or part-time
* Makaton training and NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning Schools
* British Sign Language level 1-3 and Phonics experience (if pupils fitted with cochlear implant)
* Experience of developing independence in young people and supporting social and emotional development
* Clear and valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
