ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will primarily operate from Wood's office, with potential for hybrid work arrangements. Key responsibilities include:
  • Verification of individual MPDS (process model, ICSS logic) developed by contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant codes.
  • Facilitating necessary inputs from clients and offshore contractors for the development of high-fidelity process models and control logic.
  • Addressing deviations from codes and standards as they arise.
  • Responding to technical inquiries from contractors regarding the MPDS.
  • Operating the MPDS independently to execute simulation scenarios as defined by the project team.
  • Collaborating with Process and Flow Assurance teams to create test cases for the simulator.
  • Assisting Commissioning teams in testing procedures prior to physical equipment tests.
  • Supporting Operations teams in developing training scenarios for operators.
  • Engaging in discussions and presentations with stakeholders regarding engineered operating and control scenarios.
  • Working with internal and external experts to enhance the development of a high-fidelity MPDS.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Chartered status and membership in a professional organization is preferred.
  • Experience in Process Control engineering within refining, petrochemical, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Extensive experience in project support for ICSS/automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of system integration and modern IT architecture.
  • Pragmatic decision-making skills with a focus on delivering engineering value.
  • Proficient in office and technical software applications.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Familiarity with process modeling software such as UniSim or OLGA.
  • Experience in developing or maintaining Operator Training Simulators.
  • Experience managing engineering projects involving multiple software solutions from various vendors.
