As part of our team, you will contribute to some of the most significant projects worldwide.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will primarily operate from Wood's office, with potential for hybrid working arrangements. Key responsibilities include:
  • Verification of individual MPDS models developed by contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant standards.
  • Facilitating communication between contractors and clients to ensure the development of high-fidelity process models and control logic.
  • Addressing deviations from codes and standards as they arise.
  • Providing technical support in response to inquiries from various contractors regarding the MPDS.
  • Operating the MPDS independently to execute simulation scenarios as directed by the project team.
  • Collaborating with Process and Flow Assurance teams to design test cases for the simulator.
  • Assisting Commissioning teams in validating procedures prior to the physical testing of equipment.
  • Supporting the Operations team in developing training scenarios for operators.
  • Engaging in discussions and presentations with stakeholders to convey key operational and control strategies.
  • Working with internal and external experts to enhance the development of a high-fidelity MPDS.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Preferably Chartered and a member of a recognized professional body.
  • Experience in process control engineering within refining, petrochemical, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Substantial experience in project support for ICSS/automation systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of system integration and modern IT architecture.
  • Ability to make pragmatic decisions and challenge norms to ensure engineering value.
  • Proficient in office and technical software applications.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
  • Familiarity with process modeling software such as UniSim or OLGA.
  • Experience in developing or maintaining Operator Training Simulators.
  • Background in managing engineering projects involving diverse software solutions from multiple vendors.
