Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Unit team at East Lancashire Hospice. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and evaluate effective care programs for patients, ensuring their needs and choices are met.
- Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to legislation and best practice guidelines.
- Evaluate care delivered and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Prioritize workload and direct team members as needed to ensure patient needs are met.
- Ensure patients and their carers receive the highest standards of care at all times.
- Take responsibility for a shift as delegated, including holding keys to the Controlled Drug Cupboard.
- Provide 24-hour health professional advice, working within established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and clear documentation, attending multi-disciplinary meetings as required.
- Contribute to discussions regarding patients, liaising with healthcare professionals.
- Provide opportunities for patients and relatives to discuss care and raise issues.
- Comply with health and safety procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with:
- Essential qualifications and experience in a caring role, particularly with patients with life-limiting illnesses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong assessment, planning, and evaluation skills, with the ability to adapt to changing patient needs.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support.
