CDM Principal Designer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CDM Principal Designer to join our team. As a key member of our construction consultancy, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

About the Role

As our ideal candidate, you will have a deep understanding of construction processes and a passion for health and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the pre-construction phase, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, and providing expert guidance throughout all project stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Principal Designer, overseeing and coordinating the pre-construction phase and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.
  • Engage with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure that all designs comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide advice to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Regularly attend site visits and coordinate safety measures across multiple projects.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a CDM Principal Designer.
  • Current membership of the Association for Project Safety (IMaPS minimum; CMaPS preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Flexibility for travel and overnight stays when required.
  • A full, clean UK Driving Licence.
