Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have specialized training in Stroke Thrombectomy and will be able to independently perform mechanical thrombectomy for large vessel occlusion in acute stroke patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical thrombectomy for large vessel occlusion in acute stroke patients
  • Independently conduct vascular and non-vascular radiology procedures, including EVAR and peripheral intervention
  • Develop and maintain expertise in non-oncological embolotherapy, including uterine artery embolization, prostate artery embolization, varicocele embolization, and treatment of pelvic congestion
  • Contribute to the development of clinical and research interests in vascular and non-vascular radiology
About the Department

The Radiology department at East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust is a large and successful department with 5 CT scanners and 5 MRI scanners, as well as mobile MRI and CT units to increase capacity. The Trust has recently introduced two SPECT/CT units in Nuclear Medicine.
