About the Role

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Consultant to join their team. The successful candidate will have expertise in general radiology, including plain film reporting, CT, Ultrasound, and MRI, as well as experience in interventional image-guided procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. They will be responsible for working closely with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

As a Radiology Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including those related to chest, GI, cardiac, and pediatric radiology. You will also be expected to participate in teaching and training programs, as well as contribute to the development of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality radiology services, including general radiology and interventional procedures
  • Work closely with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
  • Participate in teaching and training programs
  • Contribute to the development of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration
  • Specialist Registration or a planned timeline for obtaining within 6 months of interview date
  • Further Qualifications in Radiology
  • NHS experience

This role is a fixed-term position, with a duration of 24 months. The salary is £105,504 to £139,882 per annum, pro rata, per annum. The trust offers a range of benefits, including up to 32 days' annual leave and active support for study, quality improvement, and patient safety work.
