Job Title: Production and Logistics Controller

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the TT Electronics Fairford team as a Production and Logistics Controller. As a key member of the Supply Chain Department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Production Control and Logistics Team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager, Head of Programs, and Supply Chain Manager to ensure customer deliveries are well-planned, coordinated, and executed.
  • Develop and maintain the Manufacturing Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure the shop floor is well-planned and executing as per customer requirements.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across the organization.
  • Ensure the shop floor is serviced with raw materials to achieve 100% MPS achievement.
  • Oversee the kitting team, ensuring they are well-supported, directed, and motivated.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring regular cycle counting and maintaining a healthy inventory level.
  • Deliver functional improvement activities across the PC&L department to ensure effective team governance, visual management, KPI management, and improving the physical environment of the teams.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent, with a focus on Supply Chain Management and Project Management.
  • Proven track record in a similar position at a similar level.
  • Professional and confident communication skills at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP and MRP systems, such as SAP or Epicor.
  • Ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence at a senior level, both externally and internally.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a track record of making significant improvements in their area of expertise.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Power BI.

Our Recruitment Process:

Due to the specific projects TT Electronics Fairford supports, we are unable to sponsor work visas for this role. Candidates will be required to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard Clearance and hold UK or US citizenship.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
