About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Fundraiser and Events Coordinator to join our team at Princess Alice Hospice. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing community fundraising strategies to raise vital funds for our hospice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with community groups, local businesses, and individuals to secure fundraising opportunities
- Plan and deliver a range of community fundraising events, including fun runs, fetes, and sponsored activities
- Work closely with our Senior Community Fundraiser to identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities
- Manage and maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and income
- Collaborate with our marketing team to promote fundraising events and activities through various channels
Requirements:
- Proven experience in community fundraising and event management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the hospice
- Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices, with a focus on community engagement and participation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of organization and attention to detail
