We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Hospitality Assistant at Elmbridge Retirement Village in Cranleigh, Surrey.

About the Role:

As a Hospitality Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive exceptional service during meal times. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every resident feels valued and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet Residents with a Smile: Greet residents warmly as they arrive at the dining area, making them feel welcome and at ease.
  • Assist with Seating and Menus: Assist residents with seating and provide menus, ensuring that they have everything they need to enjoy their meal.
  • Take Orders with Precision: Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that residents receive their orders promptly.
  • Serve with a Smile: Serve meals and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring that residents receive excellent service throughout their meal.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure that residents' dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated, and that tables are cleared and reset for the next service.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other waitstaff to ensure smooth operation of the dining area, providing excellent service to residents throughout their meal.
  • Handle Concerns with Care: Handle residents' concerns or special requests with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring that every resident feels valued and cared for.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a hospitality setting or in a customer service role is preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be interacting with residents and colleagues on a daily basis.
  • Ability to Multitask: Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is crucial for this role, as you will be responsible for providing excellent service to residents during meal times.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is essential for this role, as you will be responsible for ensuring that residents' dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated.
  • Compassionate and Patient Demeanour: A compassionate and patient demeanour is essential for this role, as you will be interacting with residents who may have varying needs and requirements.
