We are collaborating with our client, a prominent manufacturer of injection-moulded components, who is seeking a Maintenance Technician to enhance their expanding workforce.
Role Summary:
To optimize machinery performance and reduce operational downtime through proactive maintenance and prompt response to breakdowns, while ensuring a safe working environment and fostering sound engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician:
- Promptly address plant faults and defects to keep equipment in operational condition at all times.
- Ensure that tasks are managed in accordance with Engineering protocols, including the execution of routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on all mechanical and electrical equipment as per site schedules and asset inventories.
- Immediately report any critical equipment operational concerns to Engineering management.
- Possess electrical and mechanical engineering expertise within a manufacturing context, having completed an advanced apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Hold an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.
- Experience with assembly and moulding machinery is preferred.
- Familiarity with PLC systems is advantageous.
- Training in air and pneumatic systems is desirable.
