Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Education Support Professional to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Primary Education Support Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational support to students in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver learning activities to students as instructed by the class teacher, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
  • Direct and manage the work of Teaching Assistants within the class, promoting a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Implement behavior management strategies in line with the school's policies, ensuring a safe and respectful learning space.
  • Make contact with the class teacher prior to covering the class to guarantee the smooth running of a lesson.
  • Familiarize yourself with the school's policies, particularly marking and behavior, to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Carry out relevant assessments and provide feedback to the teacher, promoting student progress and development.
  • Manage behavior in the classroom effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, fostering trust and encouraging engagement.
  • Deliver activities in a memorable and engaging way, promoting student motivation and enthusiasm.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, promoting a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to implement strategies that promote positive behavior and respect.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, remaining flexible and responsive to the needs of the school and students.
