About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at HCRG Care Group, working in a wing/ward environment at HMP Norwich. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for the administration of medication to patients from secure medication hatches and associated medication management activities, under the direction of the Pharmacist Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake provision of a medicines administration service to patients from secure medication hatches
  • Provide a wing technician medicine management service, working in conjunction with clinical practitioners to manage medication reconciliation
  • Assist in the delivery of cost-effective prescribing and medicines optimisation strategies, managing medication budgets
  • Promote safe pharmacy practice within the prison, providing advice and training to patients and staff
