About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geography Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our marking processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark candidates' responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to our conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
  • Utilize our ePEN system to mark scripts online, or work with paper scripts as required.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times to ensure quality control.
  • Meet milestones for marking and ensure all administrative tasks are completed as specified.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, with relevant subject expertise.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • possess a high level of subject knowledge to apply our mark scheme effectively.
