Senior Data Architect Opportunity at Adecco

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join our team on a 4-month contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Government department and contribute to the development of their data architecture.

As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data models that meet the needs of the organisation. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data warehouses for analytical and business intelligence purposes, including data models and metadata systems.
  • Work with stakeholders to interpret organisational needs and represent them in a data architecture.
  • Design data architecture that deals with problems spanning different business areas.
  • Provide oversight and advice to other data and analytics engineers.
  • Support the management of data dictionaries.
  • Work with technical architects to understand and undertake data profiling and source system analysis.
  • Engage and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent SQL and programming skills.
  • Experience of using data transformation tools, including dbt, and implementing best practices.
  • Experience of programming in Python and other languages.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience of building dashboards or data applications.
  • Experience of building continuous integration and delivery workflows, ideally with GitHub Actions.
