About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice Medical Physics Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about science and healthcare to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality control tests on medical equipment to ensure it is safe and functioning correctly
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement quality control programs
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of medical equipment
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Academic qualifications: A-levels in a science subject (minimum 96 points including 32 points in one STEM subject) and GCSEs in Maths, English, and Double Science (C or above)
  • Experience: Demonstrated awareness of medical physics and biological effects of ionizing radiation, willingness to undertake a Level 6 degree program, and experience with quality control programs
  • Skills and attributes: Ability to travel between sites with heavy/bulky equipment, prioritize and manage own work, use precision instruments, and problem-solve
