Job Title: Commissioning Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Services Manager to join our team at CV Library.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of bulk materials handling systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components. They will also be required to manage sub-contractors and third-party labor, prepare training documentation, and present customer/end-user training.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and commissioning of bulk materials handling systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  2. Management of sub-contractors and third-party labor, including risk assessments and method statements.
  3. Preparation of training documentation and presentation of customer/end-user training.
  4. Day-to-day management of assigned commissioning engineers.
  5. Organizing own work schedule to suit customer requirements and management objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Apprenticeship/HND or degree in a relevant field.
  2. 10 years' experience of installation and commissioning of equipment in an industrial environment.
  3. Experience in industry holding a supervisory position.
  4. Experience of working under CDM regulations, ideally as principal contractor.
  5. In-depth knowledge of weighing principles, Lean phase, dense phase, and vacuum conveying systems.
  6. Capable of working for long hours under pressure.
  7. PLC/SCADA/database skills/knowledge would be an advantage.
  8. Ability to suggest mechanical/electrical/software changes to improve the design and function of the equipment.
  9. Ability to fault find/trouble shoot across all aspects of a customer's installation.
  10. Understanding of basic commercial issues.
  11. Taking pride in doing a good job.
  12. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Project.
  13. Accurate in estimation of timescales for own and others' work within a project.
  14. Presentation of a professional approach when interfacing with customers directly.
  15. Experience of working in foreign countries would be an advantage.
