About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Technician to join our Mapping Team at PlotBox. As a GIS Technician, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the completion of all mapping-related tasks to satisfy our customers' needs and to the continual innovation of our product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating cemetery specs from Google MyMaps
  • Tabulating cemetery specs on Google Spreadsheets
  • Creation of georeferenced aerial mosaics
  • Using Photoshop to alter TIFFs, PNGs, and JPEGs
  • Creating webmaps through the use of ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
  • Championing product consistency and supporting the implementation of product standards
  • Continuous innovation to improve current product capabilities
  • General assistance to the wider mapping team effort
Requirements
  • Hold a degree (or equivalent work experience) in a GIS-related subject
  • Have experience in the use of Photoshop, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, G Suite (mail, drive, hangout, docs), or Microsoft Office
  • Be familiar with Google MyMaps
