Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate GIS Mapping Specialist to join our team. As a Graduate GIS Mapping Specialist, you will contribute to the completion of all mapping-related tasks to satisfy our customers' needs and continually innovate our product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of georeferenced aerial mosaics using advanced GIS software.
  • Utilization of image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to enhance and manipulate images.
  • Design and development of web maps using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
  • Assistance with drone pilot operations to complete aerial image surveys.
  • Use of GPS equipment to record ground control points.
  • Surveying work within cemeteries to capture headstone photos using an iPad.
  • Surveying work within cemeteries using a total station.
  • Surveying work using 360 cameras.
  • Championing product consistency and supporting the implementation of product standards.
  • Continuous innovation to improve current product capabilities.
  • General assistance to the wider mapping team effort.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, Surveying, or equivalent.
  • Relevant hands-on GIS experience in the field, which could have been during a placement year or internship.

Desirable Experience

  • Ideal experience with:
  • Photoshop
  • Arcmap
  • ArcGIS Pro
  • AutoCAD
  • Python
  • G Suite (mail, drive, hangout, docs) or Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of GIS programming
