About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Development Team Leader for our Clinical Voice and Communication Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a high-quality, evidence-based service for trans and gender diverse patients with gender dysphoria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of a high-quality, evidence-based service for trans and gender diverse patients with gender dysphoria.
  • Provide expert clinical supervision and guidance to Speech and Language Therapists working in the service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical outcomes for trans and gender diverse patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification and evidence of continuing professional development to Masters degree or equivalent.
  • HCPC Registration and License to Practice.
  • Registered Practicing Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Certificate or equivalent in Counselling Skills and evidence of completion of other psychological approaches training.
  • Active member of voice organisations and relevant RCSLT Clinical Excellence Networks.
Desirable
  • Evidence of successful completion and extensive portfolio of advanced and short courses to Masters degree or postgraduate level in clinical voice disorders, phonetics, voice coaching, and vocal pedagogy.
  • Member of British Association of Gender Identity Specialists (BAGIS).
