About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary Education Tutor to join our team at Randstad. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing personalized instruction to students in Maths, English, and Science, helping them to develop their skills and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing Personalized Lesson Plans: Create tailored lesson plans that cater to each student's learning style and needs.
  • Assessing Student Progress: Regularly assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and record achievement levels using our internal reporting system.
  • Delivering Engaging Sessions: Deliver engaging and interactive sessions that cater to a variety of learning styles, ensuring students remain motivated and engaged.
  • Achieving Measurable Outcomes: Achieve measurable outcomes from each session to assess the impact of your instruction.
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders: Collaborate with educational and care stakeholders to ensure student support and ensure that students receive the best possible education.
  • Adhering to Safeguarding Guidelines: Adhere to KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous Tutoring Experience: Previous experience tutoring one-to-one or small groups of students needing additional educational or pastoral support.
  • Ability to Accept Feedback: Ability to accept supervision and constructive feedback gracefully.
  • Experience Working with SEN: Experience working in inclusion units, special settings, or alternative provisions, and familiarity with supporting students with SEN, undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people, or looked-after children.
Essential Qualities
  • Inspirational Communication Skills: Inspirational, effective, and adaptable communication skills to cultivate meaningful relationships and motivate students.
  • IT Skills and Equipment: Proficiency in IT skills, access to a laptop/computer, and audio-visual capabilities, as well as a reliable broadband and internet connection.
