Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in Southwark SEND schools.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils, teachers, and other support staff to provide individualized support and create a positive learning environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, SEMH, and behaviour needs
  • Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to pupils
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children with SEN (desirable)
  • A passion for supporting children with SEND
