Position Overview

Job Title: Registered Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with NMC Professional Registration and stay informed about contemporary nursing practices.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and evaluations to formulate suitable care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Exhibit proficiency in delivering high-quality care to patients.
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with NMC and organizational policies.
  • Ensure meticulous record-keeping in line with organizational policies and NMC guidelines.
  • Perform nursing procedures and techniques following established policies and standards.

Role Expectations

The responsibilities of this role will encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Adhere to NMC Professional Registration and keep abreast of current nursing practices.
  • Perform nursing assessments and evaluations to develop appropriate care plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in patient care delivery.
  • Safely administer medications in accordance with NMC and organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational policies and NMC guidelines.
  • Execute nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with established policies and standards.

Qualifications Required

  • Current NMC Registration Statement
  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • A minimum of 6 months of paid experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within an NHS or private healthcare setting within the last three years.
