Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Empowerment Specialist to join our team at POhWER. As an Empowerment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults with profound and multiple needs. You will provide crucial support to individuals facing significant health and social care challenges, delivering persuasive verbal and written representations on their behalf.
Key Responsibilities- Support vulnerable adults with profound and multiple needs, providing advocacy and representation services.
- Deliver persuasive verbal and written representations on behalf of clients, collaborating with public and voluntary organisations.
- Take directed actions to address clients' issues, working in partnership with clients and professionals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and concerns.
- Work collaboratively with the POhWER team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Previous experience in advocacy, information, or a similar role, ideally within health, social care, or the voluntary sector.
- Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- A full driver's licence and access to your own transport.
- Competitive salary starting at £23,088.00 per annum dependent on experience.
- 25 days annual leave, with the option to buy up to 5 additional days.
