Associate Director of Shared Services

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong leader to manage and develop a team of approximately 85 staff, providing a comprehensive and efficient service to NHS organisations in Gloucestershire.
Main Responsibilities:- Negotiate and agree Service Level Agreements with clients on an annual basis, with agreed Key Performance Indicators and costs.
- Ensure consistency, effectiveness, integrity, and customer focus of financial systems and processes across the client base, in accordance with agreed SLAs and performance reporting to the Shared Services Partnership Board against the Key Performance Indicators.
- Provide the key financial and procurement information systems, including Smartstream general ledger/budgeting/payables, Payroll Analysis, Debtors, Purchase to Payment (P2P), and Fixed Assets, for all client organisations.
- Enhance relationships between Shared Services and clients to ensure Shared Services are the provider of choice.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with significant experience in managing large numbers of staff in a service-focused organisation.
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
- Ability to develop and implement policy relating to finance and procurement, which impacts on the whole organisation.
- Previous experience of staff training and development and performance management.
- Experience of delivering customer-focused services.
- A record of achievement in managing and improving financial and/or procurement services.
- Expert relevant experience in financial and/or procurement services.
- Specialist knowledge of both NHS support services gained over appropriate experience and attendance at structured training events.
- Ability to interpret health service policy on finance and procurement and apply to the development and change management of services across the Partnership.
