Facilities Management Specialist

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Facilities Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the facilities team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of hard and soft facilities contracts and contractors, as well as developing and executing facilities-based projects as designated by the Facilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate facilities contracts and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement facilities-based projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the Facilities Manager in procurement and delivery of services, contracts, and projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for specialist service providers and contractors.
- Maintain safe working practices and environments for personnel, contractors, and visitors.
- Prepare and review RAMs and qualifications prior to contractor works.
- Deputize for the Facilities Manager during periods of annual leave, sickness, etc.
- Review and action facilities work orders (MOPs) and obtain quotes, raise orders, and deliver solutions to site.
- Conduct site inductions for new contractors and service providers.
- Provide reception cover and holiday cover for all days.
- Assist in meeting room and site setup for visitors, events, and functions.
- Participate in the site emergency response team (ERT).
- Complete and be responsible for weekly and monthly compliance checks.
- Perform monthly meter readings and site walk rounds.
- Carry out ad-hoc minor maintenance work, including painting, plumbing, drainage, general repairs, and 'make safe'.
- Working understanding of hard and soft services.
- Working understanding of electrics, plumbing, heating, HVAC, and air-con systems.
- Understanding of permits to work.
- Can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
