Experienced Quantity Surveyor

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's established team in Portadown. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a proven track record in the Fit Out sector to contribute their expertise to a dynamic and growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret contracts meticulously, identifying key terms and conditions that impact project delivery.
- Engage in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable agreements and outcomes.
- Develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for Fit Out projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project scope.
- Monitor project expenditures closely, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and proactively addressing any overruns or variances.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion, contributing to a seamless construction process.
- Prepare and submit payment applications and valuations in accordance with contractual guidelines, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage subcontractor contracts, resolving any contractual disputes or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Uphold strict adherence to relevant health and safety regulations and quality benchmarks throughout all project phases.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Fit Out sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry practices and standards.
- A comprehensive grasp of contract interpretation and negotiation techniques, enabling effective communication and agreement with stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing for accurate cost analysis, risk assessment, and proactive decision-making.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools used in quantity surveying and project management.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management are highly desirable.
