Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Holroyd Howe. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our students.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious menu options that meet the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our students.
- Food Quality and Presentation: Ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation, consistently exceeding client expectations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, kitchen assistants, and other team members to maintain a high level of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
- Event Execution: Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives that showcase our culinary expertise.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, including scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining records of food costs and inventory.
- Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to continuously enhance our menu offerings and overall dining experience.
- Teamwork and Leadership: Foster a positive working environment by demonstrating leadership qualities, effective communication, and teamwork, inspiring others to excel in their roles.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution is preferred.
- Culinary Qualifications: Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute are essential.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is mandatory.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with colleagues, students, and clients.
- Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to meeting the needs of our students and clients.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
