Housing Officer

A Housing Association is currently seeking a Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for approximately three months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional housing management services to residents, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, addressing their concerns and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with the customer service centre and asset management team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Identify and address potential issues before they escalate, ensuring the smooth operation of tenancies.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and statutory requirements, maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents.
- Manage void properties efficiently, ensuring they are ready for re-letting in a timely manner.
- Authorise work orders within budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost management.
- Collaborate with asset management colleagues to resolve complex repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
- Process rent and service charge collections, ensuring accurate accounting and transparent service charges.
- Set service charges in consultation with the central service team, ensuring fairness and transparency for residents.
- Meet with residents to understand their needs and preferences, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
This role is 100% office-based, with no requirement for on-site work.
The salary for this position is £25.47 umbrella and £19.38 PAYE.
Essential Requirements:
- Recent experience as a Housing Officer or similar role in housing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Immediate availability or short notice.
