Mental Health Assistant - Windsor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join our team at a specialist school for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs in Windsor. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic learning, emotional wellbeing, and behavior of our students.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring psychologist or therapeutic support worker to gain valuable experience working with children with complex needs. You will work alongside trained therapists, counsellors, and psychologists to provide high-quality support and care to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the academic learning and emotional wellbeing of students with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs
  • Work alongside therapists, counsellors, and psychologists to provide therapeutic support
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual who is passionate about supporting children with complex needs. You will have:

Experience working with children with Social and Emotional Mental Health NeedsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentDesirable: experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications in psychology, counselling, or a related fieldWhat We Offer

We offer a competitive daily rate of £80-£95 and a full-time contract from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm. You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team, receive training and professional development, and gain valuable experience in a therapeutic setting.
