We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Safety Engineer to join our team at Thales Land and Air Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our defence systems, from design to delivery.
About the Role:- Lead safety-related activities within bids and projects to ensure the end product meets international safety standards.
- Conduct hazard analysis, risk evaluation, and develop safety and environmental requirements for IAS products throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project and product teams, customers, and subject-matter experts to ensure safety and environmental requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain safety cases, hazard analysis reports, and safety arguments to support product certification.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Significant experience in safety engineering, preferably in a defence or aerospace environment.
- Strong knowledge of product safety standards, legislation, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present complex safety information to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a methodical and logical approach to problem-solving.
