Maintenance Management Supervisor

Job Title: Social Housing Planned & Reactive Supervisor
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our team at Howells Recruitment. As a Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our social housing units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors in responding to reactive maintenance requests.
- Planned Repairs: Manage the delivery of Planned repair works, including raising specifications, scoping, and issuing works, technical advice, monitoring progress on and off-site, and undertaking pre- mid- and post-inspections.
- Operational Management: Line-manage a team of sub-contractors and operatives, overseeing their performance, inspecting their work, and providing accurate technical advice to resolve day-to-day issues.
- Financial Management: Manage expenditure and key performance indicators (KPIs) within agreed parameters.
- Technical Expertise: General damp, structural, and building diagnostic knowledge, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with the team, supply chains, residents, and leaseholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems, with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in maintenance management or related fields is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in social housing or property maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and renovation, with excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Qualifications: Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer applications.
- Health and Safety: Understanding of health and safety regulations in housing maintenance.
- Transportation: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
