Children's Complex Care Nurse - Community Based
Location: Community Setting
Shifts: Nights Tuesday to Friday
Pay Rates (including holiday pay)
As a leading provider of community-based care, Thornbury Community Services is seeking a skilled Paediatric Nurse to deliver high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.
We are looking for a nurse with UK-based experience in complex care to work with a 17-year-old boy with a life-limiting genetic condition and Epilepsy. The successful candidate will need to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and comfortable working in a home environment with dogs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver bespoke care and support to young people with complex needs
- Work collaboratively with the client's family and healthcare team to achieve personal goals and improve quality of life
- Administer medication and perform medical procedures as required
- Monitor and maintain the client's physical and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of UK-based experience in complex care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
