Position Overview

Glasgow Caledonian University, a prominent and dynamic institution in Scotland, is seeking a dedicated Placements Administrator to join our Directorate of School Professional Services. Our university is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering strong connections with industry partners to enhance student career prospects.

This role is essential in providing comprehensive administrative support for placement activities, ensuring that students receive an exceptional experience throughout their placement journey. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with academic staff and external organizations to facilitate effective placement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of placement activities across various schools.
  • Maintain effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and manage data for reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills while managing inquiries and support requests.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of HND level education or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain clear and precise records.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Desirable Attributes:

A background in Further or Higher Education, familiarity with student records systems, and experience in collaborating with external stakeholders would be advantageous.
