Position: Fabric Engineer

We are collaborating with a well-established Building Services and Facilities Management organization seeking to recruit a Fabric Engineer to manage various responsibilities.


Role Overview:

As a Fabric Engineer, your primary duties will include executing all building fabric tasks such as minor repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.

Your responsibilities will also encompass addressing inquiries, reporting defects, and keeping clients updated on site activities during service visits.

It is essential to complete all work-related documentation accurately and punctually, maintaining logs of inspections, reports, and remedial actions.


Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience in a Maintenance or Facilities Management setting.
  • Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent, or a trade-related certification.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations, Permit to Work protocols, and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including manual handling, working at heights, and in confined spaces, with a willingness to participate in an On-Call Rota.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in using mobile devices.
  • Self-motivated and solution-oriented, capable of working independently while also thriving in a team environment.


Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime and weekend work available.


Benefits:

Salary range of £28,000 - £34,000, company van and fuel card, laptop/PDA, mobile phone, provision of specialized tools, and personal protective equipment. Additional benefits such as holidays and pension schemes will be discussed during the interview process.
