At Starr Insurance Companies, we're seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join our team. As a Pricing Analyst, you'll play a critical role in enhancing our pricing models, supporting our Pricing Actuaries, and responding to underwriters' queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain pricing models using advanced Excel skills and Visual Basic programming.
  • Collaborate with Pricing Actuaries to review and analyze rate reviews and portfolio segmentation.
  • Provide data-driven insights to underwriters to inform pricing decisions.
  • Assist in the development of management information reports using Power BI.
  • Support other pricing business activities, including capital and reserving teams.

Requirements

  • Experience in an actuarial role, preferably in general insurance, with a strong understanding of commercial and London Market pricing.
  • Advanced coding skills, including Python, R, or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
