About the Role

We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to join our team at First Bus Engineering. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with our Standard Engineering Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures
  • Comply with all HS&E legislation and Group Policies
  • Maintain and develop technical skills as required
  • Work a 5-day out of 7 rotating shift, including evenings and weekends
Requirements
  • A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds Level 1&2)
  • Ability to multi-skill within an engineering environment
  • A flexible approach to working hours
  • An aptitude to develop others within the engineering team
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors
  • A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential
