Job Title: Regional Plant Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Plant Mechanic to join our team at GAP Group LTD. As a Regional Plant Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in the success of our Region by supporting our depots to ensure that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it through the efficient servicing and maintaining a variety of plant and tools within the GAP fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel across our regional depots and customer sites to identify and repair any faults or damage to equipment, accurately updating service records.
  • Support our depots to ensure that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it.
  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in plant and tool maintenance.
  • Work effectively under pressure and as part of a high-performing regional team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter role with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served.
  • Sound and current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A customer-focussed approach and committed team player.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.
