Job Description

Morson Talent is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role will involve working closely with our prestigious aerospace client to deliver a successful project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate engineering teams to ensure the delivery of project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs) to meet programme requirements.
  • Champion systems engineering best practices to ensure high-quality requirements and compliance verification strategies.
  • Work with programme leadership to obtain required approvals for business continuity.
  • Coordinate project proposal activities and ensure engineering leadership is aware of proposal gate milestones and objectives.
  • Identify metrics and report to programme leadership to provide a status of functional performance.
  • Compare actual results to baseline plans to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned.
  • Plan, identify, and coordinate resources required to support the programme.
  • Respond to changes to requirements, assess the impact, and negotiate proposed changes to determine modifications to deliverables, resources, costs, and schedules.
  • Provide technical coordination for the development and execution of project deliverables.
  • Tailor and apply engineering initiatives, best practices, and quality processes.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement.
  • Manage Risk, Issues, and Opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an engineering-related field.
  • Experience in requirements management for systems and/or services.
  • Project Planning and Management skills.
  • Excellent SE knowledge and skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Excellent Customer Facing Skills.
  • Knowledge of the Chinook and/or Apache rotorcraft platforms.
  • Registration with the Engineering Council as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer (IEng or CEng).
  • Knowledge of Military Airworthiness Authority (MAA) Regulatory Articles.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a UK security clearance requiring 5 years continuous residency in the UK.
