Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join our team at Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) systems across our assets on the HS2 project.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage a site team, including subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party contractors, to ensure the successful delivery of MEP systems.
  • Design and Construction: Develop and implement design, construction methodologies, and programs to ensure the efficient delivery of MEP systems.
  • Resource Management: Manage and supervise site teams to optimize their work contribution and ensure the effective use of resources.
  • Contract Management: Review and manage contractual agreements, develop site-specific programs, and forecast budgets to ensure the successful delivery of MEP systems.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with project managers, QA, and QS teams to ensure the smooth delivery of MEP systems.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures, including the implementation of safety management systems and the provision of safety training to site teams.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of MEP systems is maintained through the implementation of quality assurance procedures and the provision of quality training to site teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with stakeholders, including HS2, subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party contractors, to ensure the successful delivery of MEP systems.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, responsible for the delivery of MEP systems, including management, procurement, design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Qualifications: Professional qualification or degree in Electrical, Fire, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing, and best practice, as well as experience working with NEC construction contracts.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Certifications: Relevant CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
