Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local SEND school in PE11 1EJ. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH needs in the classroom and beyond
  • Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Engaging with pupils to promote social and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to achieve desired outcomes
Requirements

  • Has a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of our pupils
  • Has awareness of ASD and the challenges it can bring
  • Is able to work independently and as part of a team
