About the Role:

Cyprotex is seeking a seasoned Strategic Partnership Director to join our Business Development team in Europe. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships in Europe for Cyprotex, signing multiple strategic deals annually, and managing a team of business developers focused on our multi-modality discovery partnerships through IND enabling studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall business development strategy within the territory in close partnership with the EVP & SVP BD, therapeutic area, and platform leadership teams.
  • Establish relationships with partners that accelerate research, development, and commercialization of their innovative products leveraging Cyprotex's best-in-class integrated research and development platform.
  • Lead a talented regional BD team while fostering their further growth and career development.

Requirements:

  • A thorough understanding of the drug discovery and development paradigm across modalities (including small molecule, mAb, and cell therapy).
  • Demonstrated network in Europe across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and venture capital companies at senior levels.
  • Experience achieving results with and leading cross-functional teams to drive creative solutions.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret data and produce reports and documents to support business decisions.
  • A leader and team player with a passion for developing talent and working with diverse teams to deliver results by working collaboratively and influencing both internally and with partners.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BSc, MSc, or PhD preferable in a Life Sciences discipline or other advanced degree (MBA).
  • Greater than 10 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company and/or management consulting, with a minimum of 5-7 years proven business development experience.
  • Demonstrated record of success in business development including large and complex partnership and/or licensing transactions with a deal sheet to support.
