We are excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a Physiotherapist specializing in amputee rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will possess a current HCPC registration and hold either a BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
Role Responsibilities
As the Physiotherapist focusing on amputee care, you will collaborate closely with Prosthetists and Orthotists to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services. Your primary focus will be on managing complex trauma and amputation cases that require long-term rehabilitation strategies. This will involve conducting detailed clinical assessments and preparing well-reasoned reports for funding approvals.
In this role, you will engage with a diverse multi-disciplinary team, including Prosthetists, Orthotists, Technicians, Case Managers, Solicitors, and other healthcare professionals. You will take on an independent or leadership role in providing tailored physiotherapy treatments to a varied client base.
Key Duties
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering rehabilitation services as necessary
- Coordinating with management, case managers, and legal representatives
- Maintaining and updating patient medical records
- Working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Documenting outcome measures and contributing to research, auditing, and development initiatives

A strong desire to learn and develop skills in these areas is essential. Training on various prosthetic devices, specialized rehabilitation techniques, and report writing will be provided.
