About the Role

The Trade & Settlement Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution and settlement of financial transactions on the Fusion Wealth platform. This position requires a high level of expertise in trade processing, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the execution and settlement of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor risk and reconcile discrepancies to prevent financial losses.
  • Work with the team to resolve order exceptions and ensure timely settlement of trades.
  • Manage the onboarding of new assets and fund changes, including corporate actions, proxy votes, and rights issues.
  • Implement and refine processes to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks in the trade and settlement functions.
What You'll Do
  • Lead a team of associates and senior associates, providing coaching, appraisals, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain a control framework to ensure key risks are understood and contained.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline processes, enhance scalability, and reduce manual interventions.
  • Deliver effective performance metrics to enable informed decision-making and drive a high-performing team.
The Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications You Need
  • Proven ability to achieve a high-performing team through effective people management.
  • Previous experience in financial services or a related field (preferably with platform experience).
  • Studying towards industry-recognized certifications (preferably in financial services).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the finance sector.
  • Strong people skills, with a focus on improving individual performance and team collaboration.
