About the Role:
Assystem is a leading international company accelerating the energy transition worldwide. We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Engineering and Safety Case Delivery to spearhead our engineering, safety case, and requirements teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and inspire engineering, safety case, and requirements teams.
- Ensure all deliverables meet Design Authority (DA) and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the delivery of system requirements, engineering, and safety case activities for floating dock and shoreside infrastructure.
- Create and secure endorsement for engineering and safety case strategies, processes, and tools.
- Collaborate with the DA to set the nuclear baseline (AC36) and ensure roles are SQEP.
- Ensure robust representation in commercial delivery arrangements with Tranche and Commercial leads.
- Comply with the Programme Safety Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
- Familiarity with dealing with regulators in high-consequence environments, ideally nuclear.
- Successful recent experience leading multi-disciplined teams in producing engineering designs, justifications, and safety cases for major infrastructure or complex engineering programmes.
- Extensive senior engineering leadership experience across multiple major infrastructure programmes or complex multi-disciplined engineering projects, preferably in regulated environments.
- Chartered Engineer with full membership in a recognized engineering institution.
- Experience managing engineering staff at the chief engineer level.
- Background in marine structures delivery or naval architecture is a plus.
